This listing is for one reproduction German WW2 salt / pepper shaker as was used in the field kitchens. It held either salt or sugar for coffee and had a small screw cap that could be removed so the content could be shaken out on the food.  These reproduction pieces are made of a hard plastic type resin that simulates the original Bakelite very well. The diameter is 4″ (10 cm). The top screw cap works perfectly so this item can be used just like the original for living history display.These items were made in several color during the war and this one offered in this listing is black.
