This is a reproduction of a rubber buttplate pad for the VZ58 folding stock. These items were not used by the Czech army but were used by the border guards that were part of the ministry of the interior. The main use for them was so the end of the folding stock does not slide on the fabric of the uniform when the rifle was shouldered. The border guards and police wore uniforms that were primarily or artificial fabric blends that would let the metal buttplate slide a lot more than on the cotton blend military combat uniforms. The item is a Czech made reproduction. The originals are rather hard to find so I had reproductions made. It is $5.50 to ship this item anywhere within Europe and $6.50 to any location outside Europe
